This is a real treat. I remember having a really beautiful Grüner Veltiner in Austria many years ago and have ever since tried to find one like it. This one is it! Color is deeper yellow than expected, but taste is fantastic – initially you get a tingle on your tongue – a bit like you would get from a Riesling – and then you get tropical fruit (melon, peach) apple and lovely zestiness (lemon, lime, orange). After the initial tingle it could have been a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Great wine!
