Dark, rich and smooth (and for me, a little boring and a touch too sweet). Smell is subtle blueberry and oak, taste is rich but very soft with no acidity and only very faint tannins – you get cherry, tobacco, and chocolate. For me, the richness needs some acidity and tannins to balance the wine.
