Pessac-Léognan (Premier Grand Cru Classé) 2012

Superbly intense and savoury Vintage. It has a deep ruby colour with purple hues and a nose that is complex and layered, offering aromas of blackberry, cassis, and graphite, with hints of violet and earthy notes. On the palate, it is powerful and rich, with flavours of black fruit, tobacco, truffle, and spice, supported by firm tannins and a vibrant (maybe slightly dominating) acidity. The finish is long and persistent, with a harmonious balance of fruit and oak.
