Pinot Noir 2016

Vibrant, complex and earthy Marlborough Pinot Noir. Blackberry, plum, smoke and vanilla on the nose. There is so much going on on the palate, you get black fruit together with earthy and bitter notes, then there is licorice, spice, clove, leather, smoke and really punchy acidity and much firmer tannins than you would expect, giving it a long savoury finish. Overall, earthy and savoury flavours dominate this wine and I would have liked less acidity and some more sweeter fruit notes to balance flavours.
