I was excited about opening this one. I love a good Cabernet Sauvignon but this one hasn’t lived up to my expectations. When you first smell it you get quite unpleasant burnt rubber; and leather. Colour is a dark murky red. Taste is rich in cassis and oak, there is also licorice and cucumber, and a hint of mint (that rhymes ) There are soft tannins and low acidity. For me not a balance I like – too much cassis and not enough tannins.
